Assistant Cameraman
May be more than one. Responsible for loading film, changing lenses, preventing damage to camera etc…

Assistant Directors
(1st AD, 2nd AD etc..) – Coordinates shooting schedule, coordinates extras, helps director line up shots…constantly running around.

Best Boy
Usually two of these. They are second in charge to the gaffer and Key Grip.

Boom Operator
Operates and holds boom microphone.

Camera Operator
Ensures all the scenes are captured on film.

Caterers
Enough said, get to know them well.

Cinematographer
(Director of Photography) – responsible for creating Director's vision.

Continuity Person
Responsible for making sure whole film 'fits' without props or costumes mysteriously disappearing from one scene to the next.

Dolly
A movable platform that allows the camera to move smoothly from place to place.

Executive Producer
Control films finances & budget.

Foley Artist
Responsible for creating sounds that cant be recorded properly during the shoot.

Gaffer
Head of set lighting.

Grips
Operate camera cranes, dolly's, platforms etc.

Producer
Person who developed film project (usually hires the director).

Production Assistant
(Also known as gofer, runner) – performs any required small tasks.

Production Manager
Takes care of all technical aspects of the shoot eg equipment hire.

Property Master
Looks after all the props.

Second unit Director
Heads a separate film crew filming sequences involving other actors and/or locations from the main crew.

Steadicam Operator
Operates the steadicam which fits to the body of the cameraman to keep a hand-held camera steady.

Swing Gang
People who assemble/disassemble the sets.

Writer
Created or adapted the script.
